FAQ
Straight answers
Is this another Ring / Nest subscription trap?
No. We prefer open camera systems and local Home Assistant. Cloud camera subscriptions are not the product. Optional Haven Care is for management and AI briefs—not to unlock your own footage.
Do I need to be technical?
Not at all. If you can open a beautiful dashboard and read a morning note, you’re done. We handle the under-the-hood work.
What about privacy?
Local-first by default. Cameras and sensors live on your network. Management access is deliberate and can be limited. We design for families who care who sees the nursery.
Can you work with what I already own?
Often yes—especially smart filters, locks, and some cameras. We’ll inventory during the consult and only replace what’s worth replacing.
Where do you install?
Primary service area is local / metro by appointment. Remote design + trusted installer partners available in select cities—ask on the consult.
